[Concept]“Hydrogen” connects you and me, “Medicine” united in exploration
[Interpretation]As an emerging medical element, hydrogen has drawn significant attention for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and high-permeability properties. With the continuous deepening of hydrogen medicine research, studies on the medical applications of hydrogen have garnered widespread interest and recognition. Researchers at our Hydrogen Medicine Research Center actively explore the frontiers of hydrogen medicine, striving to deeply tap the potential of hydrogen in the medical field and inject new vitality into healthy human living.
[Introduction] The Hydrogen Medicine Research Center of Taian Central Hospital was established in September 2022 and, in 2024, was approved by the Taian Municipal Science and Technology Bureau as the “Taian hydrogen-promoting-sleep Technology Innovation Center.” The department currently has 4 professional technical staff members, including 1 with a senior professional title, 1 PhD, 2 master’s degree holders, and 1 bachelor’s degree holder. The Center is responsible for exploring and advancing cutting-edge hydrogen medicine technologies within the hospital, overseeing the promotion of hydrogen medicine across the institution, and is dedicated to in-depth research in the field of hydrogen medicine, investigating the role of hydrogen in improving sleep quality, promoting health recovery, and serving as an adjunctive therapy for a variety of diseases. All 4 staff members hold academic positions in more than 10 national-, provincial-, and municipal-level academic committees. In recent years, the Center has undertaken 2 provincial-level appropriate health technology promotion projects and 1 provincial-level continuing education project, published more than 10 academic papers, received approval for more than 10 national-, provincial-, and municipal-level projects, been awarded over 10 provincial- and municipal-level honors, and achieved 2 technology transfer outcomes.

In addition, many top-tier tertiary hospitals nationwide—such as Peking University Cancer Hospital, the Chinese PLA General Hospital, Jiangsu Provincial People’s Hospital, Zhongshan Hospital affiliated with Fudan University, Shandong Cancer Hospital, and Henan Cancer Hospital—are successively preparing to establish or have already established Hydrogen-Oxygen Medicine Research Centers!
